With a refractive index nearly identical to that of water, fluorocarbon is nearly invisible when submerged, thus allowing a more natural presentation of baits or lures. Fluorocarbon also provides superior abrasion resistance and stronger tensile & knot strength when compared to regular monofilaments. Lastly, fluorocarbon is not affected by the sun's UV rays and does not absorb water, two things that adversely affect the breaking strength of monofilament. Why is Seaguar the best?
